Brofan,
I always heard that Albert Collins left the stage with his 100 ft guitar cord. I had 5th row a day or so after the Chicago show at Deer Creek and caught Albert collins/ABB's. The stage was to tall for him to get to the crowd. He sure looked like he was going to leap off stage but wisely stayed put.
Les Dudek's album is great. I followed him for years. Sweet guitar playing. Pat Travers about that time had a guitar player named Pat Thrall. Pat was killer and played with Jack Bruce in 1988 at the Riveria. Killer
Lincoln Ave Festival, 4 blocks 50 bands. Bob Mould headlines at 8:30PM Saturday. I will be up front.
SistaBluz,
Great post about Luther at the Vogue. We had a club called the "Blind Pig" in Champaign, IL where Luther played in May of 1997. Smoky and filled up. My ex girl friend took some of the best pictures of Luther that night. To bad she has the pictures.
I was told the INDY rib fest the 31st of August has Todd Rundgren, Hall and Oats and Dickey Betts. Is that true? I will be seeing the WHO the 25th 2nd row at Deer Creek. Anybody going to that show. John Entwhistle is now gone. Scary, my tickets were supposed to be right in front of him. I saw him with the Alan Parsons Beatles tribute last year in Chicago. Sure glad I went at the last minute. Pino is playing bass for the Who tour. He is awesome. He has played with Pete Townshend for years and I saw him at Indy in 95 playing bass in the Jeff Beck group. Wonderful. Take care Charlie
I love the Vogue in Indy. I usually would eat at the Indian place about a block away.
