Yesterday was my friend April's birthday, so we went out last night to the Maple Glen. Some of you here have met April before, I can not tell you what her t-shirt said this time because I might get banned from the GB forever! Oh dear.... We get to the Glen and there is a guitar player there and a guy with an upright bass, playing the old Swamp Yankee Blues. Well it turns out the bass player is Marty Ballou! He played on John Hammond's last two releases and is going to play on the next one as well! Interestingly we got on this conversation about JH sitting in with the ABB in 20 days. Then it turned into an ABB conversation about all kinds of shows and songs and band members. He took a long set break. 😆 What a cool unexpected surprise! His first time playing there but I hope he comes back around there again soon. As for the rest of the night well there are sometimes that I hang with April and I just can't say out loud here what happened.:lol: For those of you here that know her, you understand.;) :birthday: April, thanks for all the laughs last night! Oh and the few times I was embarrassed too. You are a one of a kind friend.
