Just got a chance to listen finally to DTB Songlines for the first time and all I can say is that I am truly blown away. You can always tell a good record by the way it changes your mood. When I pushed play, had a crappy day and was miserable and when the cd concluded, I was absolutely refreshed. If that isnt the sign of a really special record I dont know what is.Loved The whole record. It has been along time indeed before I could really say that since... well... Hittin the note maybee? The capper for me was Teri Bandi. Never really liked any of the live versions I have heard where as in turn I really enjoyed the studio version more, probably by bringing Derek way up and forefront in the mix. Everything else was just great, Crow Jane, Sailin On,Revolution,All I do, and last but not least ,This Sky, were exceptional. This record could do for Derek what other Allman ''related'' records have done for other such as Highway call for dickey , Laid back for Gregg, and dose for Warren and the Mule. If you think its good company for this record, well... its that good. Check it out for yourself. Peace.
