I wanted to thank everyone for all of the prayers, thoughts and messages for my Nana and our family. Although she was 92 years old and we all knew she probably did not have many more years, it was still a shock to us. Nan had alzheimer's and as a result had short term memory loss but other than that she functioned like a much younger person and to me it always seemed like I would have her forever. What brings us all some comfort is that my parents had just brought her down to Florida for a month long vacation and she was really enjoying herself. My parents said that when the stroke occured she was laughing & joking with them at the dinner table and in mid laugh she suffered the stroke and never really regained consciousness again. My uncle said to us last night that if he could sign a contract today that said he would live a full life, reach a relatively healthy 92 years old and that when he went he would be laughing and happy that he would sign that contract immediately. I think I would sign that contract too. Nana was part of everything I physically did everyday which is going to be a hard adjustment but I know she will now be in my heart and memories everyday. We are now just waiting to bring her back with us to New Jersey for a memorial service. Again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the love & prayers you have sent for my family. Peace, Sherry
