Good Morning!! Well, the first of the five dTb shows we'll be seeing this January is now history... My wife and I had a great time at the beautiful (and fairly local!) Strathmore last night and it was great to see Stephanie and John, even though we didn't figure out where they were until the show was over. It's also always great to talk with Greg (of radioDTB fame) and Merideth. No long review here - it would just be more of that well known Benjamin gushing about Derek Trucks and his band. I will say that is was our first time seeing Ron Holloway fronting his own band as the opener - really nice, although I thought they would have been a bit more jazz oriented then they turned out to be, maybe they were doing a setlist more in tune with what they thought a dTb crowd would enjoy? Also - saw a video taping going on for the Voice of America - now that's just plain RIGHT - instead of being viewed as the land of American Idol or silly sit-coms, lets beam the dTb out to the rest of the world! One last thought, then that's it for me - the Count is a keeper! His dancing and singing and antics during the Hook and Sling encore were one of the big highlights from last night... Well....see ya in Harrisburg, or Easton, or Buffalo, or in Ithaca......
