"CUH, that's an interesting coincidence- my grandfather was a brakeman on the N&W for many years (a long time ago)." Hey Randall, I think it's cool how these different connection between people come through. Btw, my grandfather was the stationmaster at a little town in NC called Pine Hall. Most of the people there were tobacco farmers and/or worked for the brickyard that was there. He had the job from 1918 till 1960 when he passed away on the job, less than two months before he supposed to have retired. I was seven years old but still remember my grandfather and the stories he told. Of course, my grandmother and mother and aunts and uncles made sure those stories were kept alive. Unfortunately, all of them have also passed.
