Derek Trucks Band was OUTSTANDING last night! It was the benefit show for the Special Olympics NJ and the crowd there was one of the best crowds I have ever been to a show with! Big thanks out to Sully who has worked months on getting this show to happen and he did wonderfully!:) It was great to see some of the famABBly there too! Brendan, Ozzypie and his friend, Ross and HotChick, Tuna, Tamera and Tracy taking pictures, Mr.Gatto taper extraordinaire, other folks I met but can't remember their names, and Benjamin and Emily and oh my that Emily is a beautiful young lady now and about 8 inches taller than when I first met her! Benjamin you done good! There was a meet and greet with the band after the show and I was telling Derek it was show 94 for me and he was surprised, but I was thinking on the ride there, Derek and Todd are the only two of them I have seen at all 94 shows. Also told Derek that is not counting the times I saw him play with the ABB and he laughed. Count M'Butu said to let him know when I am going to get to the 100th show so we can celebrate! He is just too cute. I told him I am being selective about when I want to go to the 100th show. The guys in the band are just a wonderful bunch and their little road crew as well. I am still amazed how I have watched it all grow over the past almost 9 years now. ...and I only cried once all night and that was during I Wish I Knew. I just can't help it the music got me again!
