Great Balls Of Fire Leon’s first solo had just come out and it was one of the great supersession albums (including contributions from B.J. Wilson, Bill Wyman, Bonnie Bramlett, Charlie Watts, Delaney Bramlett, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Jim Gordon, Joe Cocker, Klaus Voormann, Merry Clayton, Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr and Steve Winwood). Leon performs all but one of the songs from that album here plus a great Dylan cover and several old blues and rock ‘n’ roll tracks. Oh yeah, opening the show was a new, young performer named Elton John.
