How could you describe Jack Pearson? Great, fantastic, legendary, or all of the above? Gadsden, Al, 2nd street music hall...the Jack Pearson Band. What an absolutley over-the-top night of music. Jack and wife, Elizabeth, along with his keyboard player and drummer, were on fire last nite as they played everything from blues, jazz, rock, shuffles, you name it, they played it. Jack never ceases to amaze me as to the effortless ability with which he plays. His slide work is unequalled, lead work superb. As the music shifted from the keys to the bass solos, flawless rhythm from Jack kept you moving uncontrollably...Lord, help us, we had some throw down last nite. Carol Mac and her husband from Fla came up and had a great time. I thought Buppalo was gonna come out of his seat on several occasions...course, how could I tell, I was bouncing too. Thanks Mike for getting Jack and company here safely, thanks to Johnny Sandlin and Carl Weaver for the wonderful venue. Thanks Jack Pearson and Band for bringing us your great music and kindness. Tonite...Jimmy and Jack rock the house in Gadsden. Yall come if you can, you will walk out of that music hall with no regrets.
