In 1991, two teams went to the WS that proved every team has a shot! At the Allstar break, baseball's mid-point, no one would have dreamed the Minnesota Twins and the Atlanta Braves would break .500, much less be in the WS. It was one of the greatest, most intense WS's ever played. I rank it right up there with 1975! That WS gave Atlanta momentum and a ton of respect, even though they lost. In my opinion, the Atlanta Braves is the classiest team in baseball. John Schuerholz and Bobby Cox have built one of the strongest and most consistent regular season teams in MLB. I guess I'm getting old, but I wish baseball was like it used to be. I don't like interleague play, I don't like all these playoff's, I don't like these big salaries ( blame Ted Turner for getting that started, remember Andy Messersmith?). Money has ruined pro sports in general, imo. Baseball is a game of chance, passion, momentum and luck....it's a grand ole game! I'll be home with my old worn out wool 1969 Braves cap on, watchin' and a rootin' for the 'Stros!!! Let's play ball!!! Lefty, the Braves have won 14 consecutive division titles, they rock! 😉
