I was listening to 'Fillmore East Feb '70' this morning on the way home and althrough I'd heard this CD a ton of times, Mountain Jam just really impressed me!! Almost like hearing the song for the first time. Owsley did a good job, very full production. Duane seems really happy; almost giddy.
Check it out if you haven't, HTN sells it. A whole year before LAFE, but it really holds up. Like listening to a work in progress or watching a painter play around with first drafts.
