It' is not Pres. Bushs' fault and to accuse him is just ignorant. You want to place blame? Look no further than the Mayor of NO, the Governor of LA, and the idiot head of FEMA. Money has been appropriated since 1995 for the levee's yet the state and city did nothing. It is long known fact the levees were insufficent to withstand anything over cat.3. It is simply ignorant to believe the war in Irac had anything to do with this diaster relief. It is the inept lack of action on the city, state, and FEMA to react. Further, anyone living in the state of LA knows the levee sit-rep. The Army Corp. of Engineers has known it since the construction. The questions should be why didnt the Mayor act? Where was the Governor and why did she not call the LA nat'l guard out? Where was FEMA? My brother and his family have not seen one, not one, Red Cross truck or any FEMA personel in their city since the Hurricane hit the coast. He is armed and protecting his family and home, just as his neighbors and community are doing. I believe there will be an accounting of who, what, when...before this is over. God bless those folks and I will continue to pray for their relief. spdb
