Weather comment: Our home office is in Mobile, they have forwarded calls here. We've already had one lady call in who has lost her home, car, and belongings.
No cell service in Mobile. We've been able to contact 2 people from our office there, they both trapped in their homes by downed power poles, one has a tree on her house.
Like Rick, I emphasize that what's going on here is nothing more than nuisance, but it's by far the worst I've seen in my 57 years. Winds have finally diminished in the last hour, blew at 35-55 MPH for over 12 hours. I didn't sleep at all last night due to stuff bouncing off the house. No permanent damage this morning, no limbs went through the roof.
Do not underestimate this thing as it heads your way. Be prepared for long power outages. Expect gasoline deliveries nationwide to be disrupted for weeks. Bad, bad stuff.
