Just waking up this morning after an incredible night of music in the 2nd London I've had the opportunity of visiting this year. This time it was London way up north seeing the ABB with our Canadian brothers and sisters.
Thanks to all of you for being such great hosts to Cujo and I on Tuesday and myself last night.
Thanks go out to Jack and his wife Beth for hosting the preshow party last night. An extra special thank you goes out to Karen and Lynn for taking such good care of me this week.
The show last night was definitely one for the record books. They opened with "No One To Run With" and closed the show with "Mountain Jam". We also were treated to a "Whipping Post" encore again last night.
I was so blown away once again with Jack's playing I even forgot to write down the set list so most of it is still in my memory. Highlights included....
*No One To Run With-opener
*Black Hearted Woman
*Not My Cross To Bear
*Ain't Wastin Time
*Stormy Monday
*Don't Keep Me Wondering
*Hot Lanta'
*Statesboro Blues
*Jack Pearson playing "I Can Fix It"....I've Got What You Need
*One WayOut
*Dreams-split leads between Jack and Derek last night
*Jessica-definitely missed Chuck last night after being spoiled on Tuesday
*Southbound
*Mountain Jam
*Whipping Post encore with Ron Holloway tearing it up..............:-)
Our special guests last night included Ron Holloway again on sax and Susan T. T. who came out to play "Don't Think Twice" with.............Derek last night.
The spot light was on Derek and Susan and it was one of those you had to be there moments as husband and wife played away.
The interplay between Jack and Derek was incredible last night as they traded back and forth. More than I have ever seen between Derek and any other member during any other preformance. They were perfectly in sync with one another last night.
I'm off to the airport for now and will post more later once back safely in Tampa late tonight.
