The one thing this GB does not need is another rulekeeper(maker) to say what this place "is" or "is not". If somebody wants to express their feelings about who they like or whatever, so be it. In the waste-of-time-to-compare or make comparisons to one musician to another, well, frankly its only natural to do so, and in my opinion, it aint so bad. As we age and listen to (and enjoy) generations of ABB lineups, we compare our fresh experiences to older memories. In the case of the ABB, I personally have fond and good feelings summing up those comparisions of old to new. Some of my ABB friends do not, and I respect that. On the other hand, using the same type of comparision I do not find the current LS generation as holding the jock strap of the original lineup, so there you go. Its all subjective, nevertheless I still enjoy reading posts from folks who compare one to another. All I can say is this; as time moves forward, "new" rock bands and new rock music is more and more crap than ever, as record companies package crap and push their crap over crappy radio stations. Same crappy licks, same crappy sound, same crappy rhythms. Classic rock music/musicians are quickly becoming extinct so I am going to enjoy the ABB as much as I can while I can, period. Once I got over the Dickey firing/betrayal (hehe) and focused on the reality of limited time with the boys, my entire perspective changed. RT
