Hey EasyMichael, I was thinkin' earlier today that I would make a post about 8/2/01, but you beat me to it. Good times. Weren't you known as MichaelFromRichmond back then? It isn't every day that I wake up with a Brothers show later that afternoon AND I'm two blocks from the beach. Oh, baby. That was the day that I started being known as The Great One...happened quite by accident. I was chatting with Bird72 on the porch at the Fish Camp, and I introduced myself to BlueFoxCarol as Scott. She asked, "Which Scott?" And I said, "The 'Great' one..." 😀 That also was one of the only (if not THE only) Allmans show I've ever seen with no instrumentals. I guess the biggest highlight in a day full of highlights was standing on the side of the stage with Lana, no more than 10 or 15 feet away from Gregg. At one point between songs he walked over between the stack of equipment and did a quick costume change. I was like, "Holy smokes...Gregg Allman, 10 feet away...and shirtless!" Now there's something you don't see every day. 😮
