Today marks 10 years since the death of Eddie Hinton, Muscle Shoals artist, friend of Duane's, and in the words of Peter Guralnick, "The last of the great white soul singers." RIP Eddie.
On a related note, Jimmy Thackery plays Blind Willie's in Atlanta tonight. His album "We Got It" is mostly covers of Eddie Hinton songs. Perhaps he'll throw in "My Search is Over" or "Letters From Mississippi".
