Yes indeed, the entended "Statesboro Blues" had me jumpin' out of my skin...not easy for us 6'4'', 250 pound guys! Ted Ray, I've liked all of your reviews. That is one of the beauties of this site--it isn't just a cheerleader board. You're allowed to be honest about the band's performances. Anyway, like Jeanne said, it is all subjective. You thought Columbus was the bomb, I thought it was solid but nothing special. You thought Cincinnati wasn't up to par, and I thought it TOTALLY rocked. Something about Riverbend, at least for me. Plus I was with Nicole, my sister and her husband, my old show buddy Dan Gant, and Nicole's friend Amy, who was an Allmans "virgin." It sure was sweet seein' her boogie and whoop and holler. So I guess I was in a particularly good mood for Riverbend. Probably had a little something to do with my memory of the evening's events! Although, to be perfectly honest, listening to the Instant Live is pretty much confirming my initial opionon...the Cincy show was stellar! 😀
