Happy Fourth of July and Happy BIRTHDAY to Chitown, who, like James Cagney, was born on this Nation's Birthday.
Saw Santana last night for the first time -quite ironic as I bought a ticket from a scalper 30 minutes before the show. He wanted $125 for it-I said you gotta be high and he let it go for $4 over face, 50 bucks, and get this-I wound up 4 seats away from where I will be sitting for the SHOW OF THE YEAR tomorrow when Oteil and the Peacemakers, the DTB, the Mule and the ABB ALL ROCK MILWAUKEE FOR 9 SOLID HOURS OF TRANSCENDANT MUSIC!
What a send off for me to Carolina and what a birthday present for Chitown! Wish you ALL could be there and for those who will see ya at the Milwaukee Ale House Noon sharp!
