Re: Gerry Groom: got my copy of his Under A Blue Moon CD yesterday, which I picked up from amazon for like 2 or 3 bucks, and when I looked at it, I frowned and said "Somebody wrote on the booklet" which is one of many pet peeves...so when I opened it up, I was VERY suprised-and delighted-to see that it had been signed....by Mick Taylor.
He played on it with Matt Abts and a few others. Excellent CD well worth picking up, if only for the studio chatter between tunes-at one point, Gerry says, "A cockroach on the floor of a new studio...good Blues sign."
Didn't know he died in a scuba diving accident in '02, I think. He learned his lessons from Duane very well.
