A very moving memorial service was held yesterday in Macon for Gerald "Buffalo" Evans. It was what all memorial services should be about. The celebration of one's life. Buff certainly lived every day of his life to the max. Each of us here would only wish when we leave this place that we leave behind memories such as those Buff left behind. People came forward yesterday at the service to eulogize Buff and tell their favorite story. Many came forward and the laughter from the stories told lifted the spirits of everyone there. The following is an excerpt from the memorial service program yesterday: "Sometimes life is a long headache on a noisy street. Life is also a stage and a play where all learn to play a part; it's a theatre full of amusement to all but the actors. It is also a crap shoot; if you don't get the throw you want, you must make the best of the throw you get. Human life everywhere is a state of much to be endured and much to be enjoyed. Nothing is more precious than life, and memory is the one garden from which we cannot be driven."
