:reddancer: Actually, my friends and I had seen many shows of the Second Coming, Allman Joy, The Hour Glass prior to seeing the Brothers live. Butch was an Englewood High school grad and well known in the area. One of the guys went downtown to see Led Zeppelin and the rest of us made the right choice going to the Jacksonville Beach Coliseum to witness the first paid show for the mere price of $2.50 and I still have the ticket stub after 36 years. What a night to remember all of us jammimg in the car on the way down to the beach, not to realize the majic we would witness. All of these guys played their hearts out and the crowd was truly amazed. The songs were like nothing ever heard and like wow sung with the soul of gregory's voice. They were the talk of the town for weeks. We even followed to see them in Peidmont Park many times live, sounding even better. God rest the souls not with us in body. I lost a brother, the same month as Duane, so I know the emptiness and unfinished idea's two brothers share. 🙂 Owen first show: march 1969
