Ramblings from an old simpleton in the middle of the night (man, I gotta' see that CMT thing!)...... ......so here I sit, in the middle of nowhere, about as happy as I've been, despite Doris being a no-show. ~sigh~ .....so tonight, comes to Podunkville, Lefty Collins and the No Mercy Band....and Goliath and MsElf...and Bluedad....and Banesh....and TanDan....and WillieHoward....and Rusty and Donna. .....so we get together at the Cultural Arts for dinner, go to Boogie McCain's. Johnny Sandlin is there, to record the night. Brent Sibley on the slide, Stephen McCollough on the B-3, WillieHoward--yes, WILLIEHOWARD--on lead and SLIDE!!! It's just so unreal, surrealistic. Music so good, almost beyond imagination--intense musicians, intense audience. People that "get it," no tourists. Here, in nowhere. Thank you, Lana, thank you, Rowland, thank you, Duane, for not staying in California with Liberty, and doing your studio thing. Just sittin' here glowing, thinking about Mike and Angelo's tomorrow. Sandman, sorry Bro. We used 'em up, there's nothing left. Happy Birthday, Linnie, hope the hand is continuing to heal. eapfp, and God bless us, every one.
