Didn't want to post til I knew Pam arrived safely, nobody I spoke to had seen her, saw on the Forum she made it fine. SO: Skynyrd was....predictible. I enjoyed, sang along, found the glass to be half full. A very wise person once told me, "Derek strokes me, Warren pokes me." We were poked tonight--thoroughly. Probably because Derek was so low in the mix. The Skynyrd guy on the left kept asking for volume, Derek was hard for these old ears to follow. He changed guitars several times, didn't matter. We screamed at the sound crew on the way out to fix it for Jack Saturday. Upto_nogood, if you're out there, stay on top of this, please. I enjoyed Warren tonight more than any time I have ever seen him. I enjoyed this show more than the Saturday Fox show I saw from last year. Dreams was outstanding, I've always thought SPDB does the best Dreams since Duane, this tonight was as good as I've heard. Loved the creativity in Mountain Jam--not as good as 3/18 this year, but then again, what is? Didn't quite know what to make of Gregg. He seemed brilliant at times, lost at others. I wonder if it could be a vision thing--maybe he's having trouble reading the words. Folks I saw: Brent and Cindy, StickT, CeeCee, Billy Eddins and Aikens, Greg Potter, Patrick Crenshaw, Bill Ector. Mr. Ector is on the verge of taking the "That Cat Is Everywhere" award from Glenn B. Not only is he pals with notorious Gadsden biker/entrepenuer Fat Dog Farley, when I walked up to him, he was hanging out with Jimmy Walker's former girlfriend! BTW, I saw no conflicts between LS people and Peachheads--no fights, no bad drunks, just thousands of folk celebrating music. So, tomorrow it's Brent and Friends here (hoping for a surprise guest) then on to Huntsville Saturday for the Jackie show. Life in North Alabama is very good these days. EAPFP
