LOL..having been a weekend warrior for 20 years, I can attest that the love of music is strong in many...the last 3 years my band jumped form maybe 35-40 shows per year to 80-90...last august we played 18 shows while holding fulltime jobs..we rehearse once or twice per week and I have seen many a man and woman sacrifice a lot for those precious moments on stage...music has given me so much, I could never possibly repay the debt to the musical gods...but it isn't just the players..it is everyone that loves music, that runs cables and lifts gear....it is Joe Bell, handing out flyers with some helpers at the beacon..it is the countless number of acoustic jammers I saw at wanee..it is Rob Johnson jumping around , totally in the groove..it is Bill Ector playing drums, bass and guitar at the left coast party..it is the tapers, and all the wonderful people that stuff our mailboxes with shows..it is Linnie with her eyes closed, totally in the grove, it is Pam in Atlanta, soaking the music in , it isthe wives, girlfriends and husbands and boyfriends that watch you walk out the door to do what you love, it is the people that take the tickets, serve the drinks, unpack the merchandise, it is all of us..music is all of us...as Duane said.."there are many forms of communication , but music is the purest one"...we are very lucky to have each other here..I will say it again and again..I feel blessed to be a part of this ...I feel blessed to know so many of you..
