Yeah, Lawler was in for Reach for the Sky but not the underrated Enlightened Rogues and 1979 tour.
Synthesizers in the Allman Brothers were limited (appropriately) to the 1980s. Lawler had them in 1980-1982 and Johnny Neel used them on the 1989 tour (including fake synth horns on Just Before the Bullets Fly and a Whippin Post synth solo...eckk!!!). Johnny came to his senses on Seven Turns and subsequent tour, but like all players who dared to play synthesizers in the ABB, his tenure was cut short.
