It has taken a while for it to sink in.
What a wonderful birthday for the best producer/engineer around, Johnny Sandlin. Mention here of his lovely and gracious wife Ann, what a gal. Randy said it all....Man, meeting Duane's daughter and talikg privately with her lamost got me teared up. I held it together long enough to invite her to the annual Jam for Duane.
There were so many great musicians there, legends, just to be in the room was a privilege. Jammin with some of them was just great fun. I could not help thinking of Duane and how much he would have loved to be there. From what I felt all nite, I believe he was. There will always be his spirit
in the music and you could feel it in every song.
Johnny says there will be some special music on hand for the annual Jam for Duane this year. I get butterflies just thinkin about it.
God bless Duane and his spirit of influence that continues to grow and touch lives everywhere.
