That's great news, Bird!! Here's hoping for a healthy future, not only to you but to all. Sadly, a close friend succumbed to a self-inlflicted OD. Brad Burns, who drummed with Barry Richman, and for a while was with Col. Bruce Hampton and the Fiji Mariners, died Friday at age 50. We had fallen out of touch to a large degree, and his life had completely turned to sh*t, and honestly--this is a bit of a relief to most of us that knew him (including his family)--he's no longer suffering--but nonetheless, it's a sad occassion. Brad was a truly talented musician--great drummer, awesome singer. But he was on the same trip as was described about the life of Jaco Patorius--someone who set out to totally f**k up his life. Well, he succeeded. Such a shame. On a brighter note, I hope to see some of you this Saturday at Wanee. I think we could all use some great musical vibage about now. I know I could... Horace EAPFP
