I got a little funny for you all to lighten things up this morning.
So, my friend bought me a ticket to the Mule show in London next week, and it turns out that the fellow who he bought it from is British. Well, buddy copies me on an e-mail to this bloke, and suggests that I contact him. So, I not realizing that he is British (just thought friend of a friend), send him an e-mail. It reads-
I am going to the shows in London, Amsterdam and Germay. Which shows are you going to? Maybe we can hook up.
I get a reply -
Er... Thanks for the offer, but I am not interested!
Now, I am thinking that is kind of rude. Then I check around a bit, and I realize this guy is from London.
Well, let me tell you something. In the UK to "hook up" has a very different meaning from what I had in mind. Talk about foot in the mouth disease.
I guess it because of guys like me that American man get a bad rap! LOFL Too funny!
John
BTW - I am NOT moonlighting on you Brofan!
