EC- “ Roger, Eric. I see that the Allman Brothers Band are playing an extended gig at the Beacon. Would it be a bit of alright if I went over and sat in with them for a spell? I had done some work with one of their members some years ago. Poor chap spilled his scooter and passed on. Quite the shame. He was really quite talented”. RF- “I don’t know Eric. You know how I feel about that sort of thing. Besides, I’m not sure they would be up for it. You might steal their thunder as it is. And what about the security issues”? EC-“ But Roger, I’d really like the chance to jam a bit with this Derek Trucks fellow. He is really quite wonderful on the slide. And that Warren Haynes is quite good also. I hear they have been playing some of my old songs. It would really be quite a kick Roger. Can you look into it at least”? RF- “I’m not sure Eric. I hear the Fire Marshals are concerned about safety at that Theater. We can’t risk your safety Eric.” EC- “Well enough than. Maybe another time.”
