Thanks for sharing the article on the ticket brokers. However, I agree with Rick T, I dont think that the problem is the brokers but Ticketmaster OWNING ticket brokers thus blocking out tickets for them before the tickets are EVER on sale to the public whether it be in a pre-sale or a general public sale. I am still angry and disappointed that I was shut out of tickets for the Beaon this year!.....and not just me....this year has been the worse. That has become my annual March pilgrimage and when the last note is played at the last show in March, I am looking forward to the next years run at the Beacon. So I am still seething about this year's ticket sales. So I will only be attending Wanee Festival and perhaps the local show(since I have heard that the Fox will not be available this year)....no traveling for me for ABB this year because of the ticket situation. I dont have to worry about whether I get a good seat and I can save money on the band merchandise that I always buy. Last year, I bought $400 of Beacon tshirts as gifts to bring back for members of a local band. I will spend my monies with other artists. Am I still angry??? YES!!! I am angry that TM continues to be allowed to get by with this and it only getting worse as we fans are seeing this year. Next year, hopefully, ABB management will CARE enough about US FANS and be able to place in their contract clauses that can keep the Beacon from being a fiasco like this year. If you dont believe that TM is the problem, then you are wrong. Many of us discovered that a few years ago when tickets were on sale the day before they went on sale to the public for only a brief period of time. A friend lucked into them and shared the info...we bought tickets...had them confirmed....then taken away from us. I had 2nd row center!! We had found the window that was open for the brokers....and once again we got screwed by TM.
