hey billyjackfong, the music was just wonderful, a great afternoon, and man did i need one! like cee cee, i don't take notes so i can't provide a setlist, too busy groovin'. derek trucks band is just incredible, it's more that music, it be choich! (apologies to dr. john) yonrico, kofi, todd round out the band of the moment IMO. and whoever is singin is just a plus. susan T voxed a bit, but i'm starting to miss the girl's guitar! come on susan, all those little girls out there need that role model. unless i screw up the name, mike mattson is a talented cat, soulful AND bluesy. i believe dickey jammed on 'for my brother', but it may have been 'joyful noise'. mr. betts and great southern were loose, smilin', and throwing down! dickey looked healthy and happy, and his guitar playing was sharp, crisp and hot!. my favorite was liz reed. solos all around, dan toler ripped it, and DB finished it off the way they used to! derek, yonrico and susan played on southbound and it was fierce! there usually aren't tapers at springfest, but i hope someone stealthed it. it was that good. some other folks have posted some views over on the dickey guest book, if you want more. i had a blast. but some people should not have cameras :^)
