Interesting quotes from Gregg. You never know what timeframe Gregg means in those quotes.
The ABB cut back on their tour Schedule about 8-9 years ago or so. The upside to them cutting back again, either this year or in a couple years, is that it probably helps keep this great lineup together. Derek & Warren probably would not commit to anything more than what the Brothers did last year. Clearly, the Beacon run is a financial boom for the band. A run through the Southeast is very profitable and the Band seems to like these festival in the South, so this spoiled Georgia boy probably gets his share of ABB even if they go even more part time in the years to come.
Less time on the road may mean more time to use that new studio Gregg built in his house. I surely would not mind a Hittin the Note caliber ABB album in the next year followed by a Gregg solo album with his 2005 Friends lineup the next.
I always say to take it in while you can cause there are no guarantees....BEACON FEVER!
