MULE! MULE! MULE! There I said it! This band is starting to really take off. I know that that sounds silly to some, who would say they have already been on fire ever since... But this band keeps getting BETTER! Warren has put the bar so high that it will be only onward and upward from here. If you have a chance to check out the Mule do NOT miss them. Wilkes Barre - Friday Night Great Show! First set highlights - Sco-Mule with Ron > Dirty Work (delightful!) > Perfect Shelter. End of the first set and btw - the fattest part of the show was the "middle" - like a big ole Mule "fattie" - Smokestack Lightning. This might have been one of my finest Mule moments. Second set opener - and the "highlight of the show" was No Quarter. Might be sacreligous to say, but not even Page himself played this better than Warren is right now. Oakdale - Saturday night End of the tour. Killer show. Probably IMO better from start to end. Complete show smokes! Highlights - Set 1 About to Rage. This is my "new Deja" instant classic Mule! This song rocks! I love it! She said>Tomorrow Never Knows - always killer. Thorazine to end the first set. Just getting started boys and girls. Second set was the creme topping. Basically 2 parts introduced by a little Soulshine Mule style. OK here it comes - Hunger Strike > Dear Mr Fantasy> Hunger Strike. Let me take a breath... Blind Man > Drums > Blind > I CAN'T QUIT YOU (that's right!) and then closing it out.... Double Encore - Cortez (w/ Scott Metger) This kid went toe to toe. He is from NADA and I must check them out. Goin out West - Goodnight! I would encourage anyone / everyone to see the band, support the music (I know - we all do this), and check out the Muletracks for these two shows. You will not regret this! Peace Out John Hey Mike if you are out there (and I know you are!) send me a pm with your contact. I love you man!
