Jim - You mean the John Medeski Allstars - I totally agree - this band is Govt Mule!! Big thanks to Fred and John for making last night happen for me!! Hello to Barb, Bob, Kimberly, Fred - Jim we missed you! We were right up front the entire time. I was lucky enough to get both set lists - Warren personally handed me the second set list himself - LOL A great little venue - like Roseland only smaller. Except they kept us waiting in the very small bar area for an hour just to get to the stage area and then the band had the longest sound check in the history of mankind - the band did not hit the stage until 11:15 -and I had been up since 5:30 am - damn it was six hours of being on my feet - but YES it was worth it - what a band - so much talent and energy on stage - John Medeski treats his keyboard and piano like they were exercise equipment - pounding and pounding but light - I was right in front of the keyboard so my vision was blocked for Dave Schools but I kept looking under the keyboards to see him and that amused him - lol. Dave drove the band - Warren steered - John M. was the wind - Matt thumped along, but the sax man - funny name - Ske_____ - can't remember but he cooked - he had a custom made sax that was black and gold with a small half skull near the neck - it was goregous and boy did he blow!! Set list later - have to somehow work - LOL
Oh Happy Birthday 40th Brian Farmer - one day late
