That Bobby Whitlock link is indeed interesting but it does contradict one published account that Eric had heard Duane play on Wison Pickett's Hey Jude and loved his playing. Whitlock's account says EC never heard of Duane. Either way is a moot point I guess. What's important is together they were other worldly and produced the holy grail of all albums.
