Linnie, I am so sorry to read about what you are going through with Pi. Like you & Doug, Mike & I do not have any children and our fur babies are our kids. Unfortunately, when you make the decision to share your life with these beautiful souls you do so with the reality that you will outlive them. But the unconditional love & joy you receive in sharing your life with a four legged friend is far greater than the heartache in the end. So love them all that you can while you have them and when it is their time, give them the most unselfish gift of love by helping them on their journey. You will all be in our hearts & prayers and we are only a phone call away if you need us.
