thank you everyone.
pi (a.k.a 3.14159265) does seem worse now then ever and his blood counts do look VERY bad,but we are not going to give up yet. he will stay at the vet through the weekend all hooked up to his little kitty IV. its not as expensive as i thought it was and we owe it to him to see if he can bounce out it. i'm hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
there is a WONDEFUL online support group for this type of thing and i've got many more options than the vet let onto at first. we will decide what to do when we get the second bloodtests back after he has been fed IV fluids for at least 48 hours.

i'm so looking forward to GAF tommorow to 'get out of my head' on this and so much more.
