Hey folks. Serious time here. I will try and make this short and sweet, because unless you've been living under a rock, you're up on all things "tsunami" these days. And I'm going to post this in a couple different ARU-related spots, so bear with me if you've seen it already. You can flame me at engebo_chris@yahoo.com.
If you haven't thought about donating to any of the myriad relief funds, please do think about it. I know of a great one, Lutheran World Relief, at http://www.lwr.org/
This particular charity, though it has a religious affiliation, is recognized as one of the most efficient charities. And, in case you're wondering, and upset by the possibility, they won't be giving the starving, afflicted, destitute people Bibles. The idea here is to save lives, and reasonable people understand that you need food, water, shelter, and proper medical care before you need Bibles, Qur'ans (Korans), etc.,...
No offense intended toward anyone. If you're inclined to give, and haven't done so yet, please consider http://www.lwr.org/
I just want to clarify. I am not ripping on any other charities. Just wanted to point out one that I feel "safe" with.
Peace to you all.
p.s. again, flames should go to me at engebo_chris@yahoo.com.
