Ditto R.I.P Son Seals. Saw him many, many times in Chicago. That man was a living embodiment of the blues. His wife shot him in the face, he lost a leg, and he still just kept soldiering on. He was one of the scariest looking dudes you would (or wouldn't) ever want to come across, but he was actually a very polite and gentle soul. And he could play the blues like just about no one else on earth. Little known fact: he started out as Albert King's drummer. Thanks to a kind brother who sent me the Mule's Best of Allen Woody complilation, I'll be able to hear him with the Mule and Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown. Just haven't had the time to hear all the great music that I have been lucky to acquire thanks the generosity of all the fine people on this site.
