I am thankful..... ...for a God who loves me. ...for the freedom to express the above. ...for my beautiful wife Mara, who smiles at me every morning, and for teaching me how to love. ...for all the GB fare, with hugs and gripes and cheers. ... to Butch and Gregg and JJ, Oteil, Warren, Derek and Marc, who carry the music I love into future years. ...for my family, my children, who I love and miss when they are not around. I am asking each one here today to remember: ...the sick and homeless. ...the poor. ...nurses, EMT's, doctors, police/fire, and those who will work today instead of being with their families. ...our military, and those in particular who are in harms way today. ...and those who have no family. Dr. Patch Adams said that loneliness is the worlds most devastating disease. God Bless All... Rick Tomlinson PS: I would like to see folks post their Thanksgiving "menu" if you would not mind. I'll start: A fresh, dry rub marinated for 2 days, Butterball Turkey. Home made lasanga...pasta...souca...all made from scratch (in memory of my Mother). Whole cranberries with pecans. Home made cornbread "dressing" made with fresh buttermilk. (we dont stuff in the Tomlinson house) A potato souffle' with sharp cheddar cheese topping. Steamed broccoli. Home made coconut pie. And a made-from-scratch carrot cake. Rick Tomlinson
