.....veerryy interesting...talk of the early 70's shows with Marshall Tucker, Grinderswitch, and don't forget, 'ol brother Wet Willie is still soaking wet. Great Shows! I recall seeing 5-6 or 10?? shows with Chuck and Lamar...excellent. Save for a few times where "influences" effected one or more members abilities....this was, IMHO, some of the best music the band ever made. Dickey seemed to take every song to the max and his slide playin', as he has told me, was to fill expectations but he played the hell of it...Chuck and Lamar were really smokin' and for my taste, Lamar was only topped by B.O. in the flowing lines he played. We took for granted at the time, how realllyy! good Chuck was...he was on fire, some really great Jessica's. The intensity of the band was there and the music reflected the passion. Thanks for the flashback .....SPDB
