Before I post I too want to recognize TanDan for his brave and selfless acts!
And high fives to everyone that does something no matter how big or small to make a positive impact on someone's life, what prompted me to write was how I spent my lunch today:
I was substituting as lunch mom for the ex today at our daughter's school her name is Chloe and she is a 7 year old in the 1st grade-it's raining in Wilmington,DE so no outside recess-instead the teacher pops in a movie and leaves-I am suddenly in charge of 35 1st graders-I have done it before so the number of kids isn't as scary as it was the first time-anyway whenver I play lunch mom I just sit back and watch the kids interact, smile and have fun-it always makes me appreciate the simple things in life a little bit more-the joy that the kids get in a cold carton of chocolate milk,a PBJ with no crusts, a chocolate chip with extra chips or just a hug always amazes me! They also appreciate the little things you can do for them-So I tied a couple of shoes and taped the bottom of Jimmy's crayon box so they stopped falling out
In these post-election days it's time to get back to enjoying the simpler, sweeter things in life-and I wish nothing but good health and good fortune to everyone on this site
Take Care
