With all due respect Dino; once our rights are taken away anything can happen...Elie Wiesel made a powerful statement about speaking up .... so something so horrific NEVER happens again. Others see the similarities as well...and we can't close our eyes and pretend that we just don't see. From: Corey Dietz Dateline: 4/10/04 Millions of people listen to Radio each day. Unfortunately, their choice of programs and radio personalities is slowly being taken away. It seems the government is on a crusade to limit certain types of speech on the air. The government agency which ultimately controls the airwaves has begun a campaign to insure only “proper” types of content and speech are disseminated to the people. Although the changes have encountered some resistance, there are many people who don’t realize the implications of having free speech controlled by a small group of men. Does this sound familiar? Do you think I'm talking about 2004? No. I'm referring to 1939. And not the United States of America.... ...Nazi Germany. The small group of men alluded to is not the Federal Communications Commission. It’s the Reich Broadcasting Board. The limits on speech has nothing to do with the recent Radio indecency crackdown. I'm referring to the offical Nazi policy which replaced free speech on German radios with only Nazi approved channels. It’s something to think about.
