Since we're all trying to affect change here..I have a bit of an axe to grind. I recently went into a Halloween costume store in hopes of finding a 'SuperHero' costume. Sure, there was Superman..Batman..even that wimpy Robin. Wonder Woman was well represented. Of course Spiderman was an easy find. They even had the f'n Green Hornet. My problem? Where the hell is AquaMan? What the F? Did he not save the Wonder Twins and that damn monkey from countless close calls?! Sheesh! Represent! AquaMan was and still is a BAD man - the cat had Hippo lungs and was Mark Spitz underwater - no love?! Last I heard he was cleaning Ariel's pad for pennies - we all should be ashamed! I ask Why? Why is Aquaman the forgotten Super Hero? Is it b/c most of us can swim? Maybe. OR maybe it's deeper. Have you heard of him since the late '70s? Did Carter and Democrats squeeze him out once they knew they were doomed and would lose in '80? Or was it Reagan and those damn Republicans sticking their noses where it doesn't belong? Are Bush and Kerry covering it up? Call your congressman. Call the mayor's office - I'm starting a campaign - Bring Back AQUAMAN!! Make it happen. Stick the issue that matter in '04! Vote 1/2 man - 1/2 fish. Represent! BRING BACK AQUAMAN!!
