Gosh!
Thanks Butch for all the great music
I learned about the electoral college in grade school. Can't say I know many people Butch's age that just learned about that. However the important thing is that he is attempting to inform himself.
I admire Gregg Allman for encouraging people to vote without telling them who to vote for. Apparently he learned more from the 1976 election than the Freight Train did. The ABB played a big part in getting Jimmy Carter elected.
When Duane was bashing Nixon it was the "In" thing to do, it was popular with ALL young people and many older people as well and I am sure he believed in his statements as I am sure Butch does.
I respect Butch but wish that he understood how rediculous some of his post is, even if your for Kerry some of it is out there.
And apparently he was wrong about "Blue Sky" too cause my take on that is this:
The crowd went nuts. I have two versions of 9/25 and couldn't hear a boo on either of them. The crowd was still buzzing with chatter as they played Dreams next. It sounded great. VERY true to the original which I liked. Allso on 9/26 you hear people yelling "Blue Sky" between every song.
I was told some people walked out on 9/25. They were not missed I am sure, crowd was louder from that point on. And they must not have been there to see the Brothers anyway.
I do appreciate the music though it is getting better and better which seems impossible to imagine.
Thanks!
