hello beautiful Peacheads...3 shows in 4 years.......but we sure picked 3 good ones ... Here's a little something for Jack to smile about.....A BIG tip of the hat , make that hats off to the fine folks of Denver ,Colorado, who along with the Humane Society, AKC, and various other animal-friendly clubs and societies, made arrangements to fly many of the dogs that were abandoned/orphaned due to the recent hurricanes here in FLA , to Denver, with the promise of finding all of them loving homes...God bless those good folks! With 4 major hurricanes (a historical first) tearing up what little natural land mass FLA has left, the Sunshines State's wildlife and song-bird population has been dealt a devastating blow. In additon to large swarths of land completely stripped of trees and shrubs, those (trees and shrubs) that withstood the hurricanes were totally stripped of this fall season's fruits/nuts/berries/acorns/pinecones, etc.....Even if you have never done so in the past, now more than ever would be the time to put up feeders and birdbaths, and to go native. Plants such as Holly-berries/ Oaks, Pines , Crab-apples, you get the idea, and such will help natures creatures survive this famine. I have never before seen so many songbirds in our garden , they are literally watching my fall-blooming Swamp Sunflower-seeds ripen. The situation will worsen as the Northern bird populations arrive here (already starving after their long flights) and are forced to compete for what little has been spared. In contrast, beautiful Charlotte Harbor was flushed clean clear, and fishing is as wonderful as ever.....eapfp, Ca
