After the beer I headed up to get my ILs. I bought two, one for Beverly who is the best when it comes to sharing her music with me. The Fox shows were waiting in the mailbox when I returned home from Bev. About 6ish a local disc jockey from KROX holding their 17th birthday bash accompnied by the Oklahoma Sooners cheerleaders and pom squad came on the stage. It was a gol dang football pep rally. I quickly found out I was surrouded by huge OU fans. The big game was today OU won. I had no idea all this was happening but the girls were of course beautiful. It started raining now and one friendly fellow had a roll of big garbage bags. Two bits a bag just to pay for the roll he said. Well this girl I'd been watching before paid by pulling up her shirt and bra. Her shirt said "I'm a fu*&%#@ ray of sunshine". Well I was the only one in the entire area that missed the early show. I wondered what she might do for a backstage pass. It's still raining but we aren't getting wet. Now it's getting time for LS. A screen advertizes their new album. Then it begins playing an LS cartoon with Dog the bounty hunter. Then home movies of the old LS with all the dead ones also. Back to the cartoon and more albums pushed. Ok this was really wierd in your face. Cut to the chase after more movies and the end of the cartoon with some of LS getting in late from a fishin trip it showed the band in the dressing room getting ready to come out on stage. Then as they left the dressing room on the screen they came on stage. I swear this happened.. Did I miss the part about LS being a show band. Everything was staged even to slaps to the piano player. They played the exact same songs they play at every show. Hey the crowd loved it and I'll be the first to admit it was pure Rock and Roll for 1 1/2 hours with no let up. They were very good at what they did and put on a good show if that's what you are looking for. I found out there are two originals left. I didn't want to ask too many questions after all I didn't want them to know I was an IDIOT!! After the last song and I was hoping for no encore the fans didn't sweat it they knew LS was coming back to do Freebird. I don't have a comparison but it was great. Lots of solos. Wife just called supper so mare later. Ernie
