Saw Johnny about year and a half ago. He is frail and voice is not like it was but once he warms up, his fingers still move. In the last two years he has been playing the slide for a couple encores and that aspect of his playing is still intact. Through the kindness of all the traders at this site, got my hands on a Johnny show from Barcelona in 1990 - his playing that night was off the hook.
When they were on, not as much now, but Johnny and Buddy were, IMHO, the top of the line for recent blues guitarists.
