Here's a classic: Two (CLUELESS) dudes right behind me in the Instant Live (?) line after the unbelievable Rosemont show: and keep in mind that thanks to Layton I was enjoying myself IMMENSELY even after the show; Ist Idiot: "They didn't play Blue Sky or Ramblin' Man" 2nd Idiot: "Yeah, they'd play the first part that I recognized and then go off and do their own thing for a long time which was really boring and then come back to the familiar part again so that I could recognize it" Ist Idiot: "You know that long guitar thing they played at the end (MOUNTAIN JAM)? Well, they played it at the BEGINNING too!" 2nd Idiot: "Maybe they didn't like the way they played it the FIRST TIME!" I am not making this up. Nor was my perception altered (well, actually it WAS) but I wanted to grab these two and yell, "OK guys, buy the Instant Live, take it home, smoke a huge doobie (or ingest the drug of your choice) and LISTEN TO IT FROM START TO FINISH!!! Then MAYBE you'll GET IT???? WHY would these guys have paid over 70 bucks for a ticket and WHY were they standing in line after paying 25 bucks for a copy of a show that they had absolutely no comprehension of? (sorry for ending a sentence with a preposition, folks, especially you teachers out there) Sorry. I just don't get it. At all. But I'm glad the Brothers got their cash...
